My sister's teenage son (of substandard intelligence) sits in front of the TV  mezmerized, picking his nose and eating it.  If you break into his mezmerization to point out what he is doing, he gets a stupified expression and then laughs uncontrollably.

 

dubya's "weapons of mass destruction" deception is of this variety--when he is "caught" "picking his nose and eating it" he looks stupified and laughs uncontrollably.
