PAN ARAB UNION FOR PEACE
NEWSLETTER WAR Issue April 13, 1999 -------------------------------------------------------------------- "God is not mocked; whatsoever ye sow, that also shall ye reap." -------------------------------------------------------------------- "A SACRED TRUST" -------------------- bozo hugs the tar baby Upon his departure for Baghdad in February 1998, Kofi Annan expressed his mission by the term "a sacred trust" to pursue peace. This indeed should be the focus of us all -- Joyful all ye nations rise; Join the triumph of the skies; ------------------------------ But in my grief, I bowed my head; there is no peace on earth, I said; for hate is strong and mocks the song of peace on earth goodwill to men. [from Hark! the Herald Angels Sing] Issue #18, dated February 26, 1998, of this newsletter was dedicated to "PEACE EUPHORIA" and was celebratory of the success of Annan's trip to Baghdad. Since that time the United States of America has verred dangerously out-of-control, with bozo bombing baghdad [how's that for alliteration] on the very night before he was to be impeached in the House of Representatives. That bombing was obscene as is the bombing of Yugoslavia; but in the case of the Balkans he has created a "tar-swamp" scattering the people in all directions and raining down violence -- "and mocks the song of peace on earth . . ." with "I feel your pain." Nothing could be more hypocritical than his "Putting People First" slogan and the havoc he and Munich-Mad Madeline have reaked upon us all. Such bombing is unnecessary; immoral; cowardly; criminal; and, last but by no means least, anathema. God is not mocked.
