to the Homeowner's Policywriting and Billing system as maintenance Systems Analyst. Duties were to analyze the state-mandated
changes and write programming specifications/supervise the programming of same (from a distance). The effort required
frequent user interface and input for definition and design. Also involved in the testing effort and implementation
of the new versions.
Additional effort spent on two committee assignments: evaluation of ShortHand Cobol; and
feasibility study of online/overnight transmission of declaration pages.

Retail Stores (500+ nationwide) Project (10-12 people) and the Inventory and Sales Reporting Team (4-5 people).
Responsibilities
included full responsibility for the daily stores inventory; joint responsibility for semi-annual physical inventory;
joint responsibility for monthly sales reporting; and team responsibility for the P&L conversion in which all
500+ stores were converted to the new system. The stores ran in the black for the first time after all stores were converted
to the new sales and inventory system.

XEROX - System was order entry for Warehouse and Inventory Control. My duties were as a contract programmer ($10/hr
through Computerpeople) and consisted of team development of warehouse order entry modules.
University Hospital
- three month assignment to evaluate the feasibility of their Data General heart monitoring system with respect to
expanding managerial reporting from the data being provided them by the responsible software company.
American
Standard -- was using Dover Data to develop their trucking system which involved inputting data from remote locations
to Piscataway and centrally processing the info for "cutting checks" for the owner-operators. My duties were for
the design and development of the program modules.
American Jersey Cattle Club - my involvement was limited; the contract
with EIS was to a former associate at XEROX and he was the only other person on the assignment; DEC equip- ment; the
system was being programmed to provide "pedigree" information on American Jersey cattle.
Informatics - assignment
was to develop sales and inventory system for oil field supply stores and to transmit the data from S3's to the central
processor in Dallas. Very similar system to the Goodrich retail stores project previously.
Consultec - this consulting
firm had the contract with the Dept. of Public Welfare to develop a new system for client ser- vice and monitoring
for all welfare/assistance programs. My involvement was as a systems analyst/designer in the area of the community
information base.
Bank of Wisconsin - contract was held by Computerpeople Unlimited (both partners had been bank
employees) and my involvement was as a programmer/analyst in the area of trust adminis- tration.
Cap Gemini
America - bank was a client of this consulting group and the project was a conversion, due to merger, of the programs
which were overlapping at the two banks.
