Nasser's dream for the Arab world was of one nation of Arabs and he set about to fulfill that dream by joining Syria to Egypt as the United Arab Republic. This was to be ill-fated however and his aid to Yemen was also ill-advised.
WORLD LEADER
Nasser met with all the prominent world leaders of his day and was particularly devoted to Tito and Chou Enlai. His meetings with Eisenhower, Kruschev, Nehru, and Sukarno were news events of the first order.
